 Inception & History

Visen was established by Mr. Vijay Nair in the year 1985 for manufacturing water based Polymer Emulsions with a small capacity of 500 MT per anum at Tarapur, near Mumbai.


 Present Size & Scenario:

After 22 years in the business, Visen today is one of the fastest growing aqueous polymer emulsion producer. Present annual production is about 60,000 MT in its 2 manufacturing units ( Tarapur and Silvassa ) Visen’s Present turnover is over 50 million USD with an Annual Growth rate of Approx 50% for last 3 years.

Turnover is expected to cross USD 100 million in current year. The ISO 9001-2000 certified manufacturing facility of Visen produces well accepted and appreciated quality products for its broad customer base. The capacity utilization presently is 100% and is falling short to meet market demand.


 
 



 Future Path and Outlook:


To meet the ever growing demand for its products, both in India and abroad, Visen is
adding more manufacturing facilities to become operational as under :

IVth Quarter 2007 Jammu ( North India) 50,000 MT / year
Ist Quarter 2008 Sharjah (Hamriya Free trade Zone, UAE) 1,00,000 MT/year
IIIrd Quarter 2008 Chennai (South India) 50,000 MT / year

All these plants will be having logistic advantage and a high degree of automation
to produce the best quality products at optimum cost in adequate quantity.

Visen’s polymer emulsions are known by the popular brand names ‘Visicryl’, ‘Visimer’, ‘Visical’, ‘Visitex’ etc.

These are catered to paints & coatings, textiles (both woven & non-woven) adhesives and construction industries for their multivarious applications.

New products are being added through continuous development work to suit specific customer needs.
